Licenses on record

Straight about email

Most licensing records don't publish an email address, so most rows here don't have one, and the figures on this page show how many do. We don't fill the gap by guessing addresses or matching them from elsewhere, because a guessed address is how a list gets you flagged as a spammer.

What most rows do have is what a campaign can start from: the business name, the license type and a mailing address. Many also carry a phone number. Filter the feed to rows with an email or a phone when that's all you want.

Why new licenses mail better

Contractors are mailed constantly, but rarely in their first weeks, when they're choosing an insurer, a bonding company, a supplier and a bookkeeper for the first time. A daily feed lets you reach them then instead of at the next list refresh.

What you're responsible for

You are responsible for the TCPA, Do Not Call rules, CAN-SPAM and any state limit on how a licensee list may be used, before you call or email anyone on it. Commercial email needs a working opt-out and a physical address under CAN-SPAM, and some states restrict the commercial use of lists of licensed individuals.

Questions

Do you sell a contractor email list?

We sell licensing records, which include an email address when the record publishes one. That's a minority of rows, and this page shows the current share. We don't append or guess emails, so what you get is what the record says.

Is the address a home or a business address?

It's the address on the license. Many small contractors license from home, so treat it with the same care as any direct-mail list, and mail about the business only.

Can I filter by trade or county?

Yes. The feed filters by state, county, city, trade, and whether a row has a phone or an email, then exports to CSV. A pack covers one county, city, trade or state.

Is this list CAN-SPAM compliant?

A list can't be compliant on its own; a campaign is. Every commercial email you send needs an accurate sender, a working unsubscribe and a physical address, and you have to honor opt-outs.
