A new license is a shopping list.

Nobody buys more, faster, than a contractor in their first month. They have no agent, no supplier, no software and no bookkeeper yet. Be the first one they hear from.

Shopping list, first 30 days

A real license with its details partly hidden. What each contractor buys is typical, not on the record.

Contractor lists by state

20 states and DC

Depth varies by state, and each state's page says exactly what it holds. Every state's coverage or the contractor list overview.

Daily, not quarterly. By the state, not by the seat.

New contractors choose their vendors fast. A list that arrives once a quarter reaches them after someone else has. Ours is read every day, and your whole team can use it.

  • One state

    $29

a month. The daily feed, alerts and CSV export for one state. Add another whenever you need it.

  • Every state

    $99

a month. All 20 states and DC, and each one we add. Cheaper from four states up.

  • One-time CSV

    $19+

Every license on record in a county, city, trade or state, once. You see the exact count before you pay.

What New Contractor List is

New Contractor List is a subscription data service for businesses in the United States. We read official contractor licensing records every day and publish which contractors were newly licensed, by state, county, city and trade. Insurance agents, bonding companies, suppliers, software companies, accountants and lenders use it to find new customers.

You don't need an account to look around. Every state, county, city and trade page is public, and shows recent licenses with contact details partly hidden. A paid plan opens the full records, daily email alerts and CSV export.

You can create an account with an email link or with Google. We use Google only to sign you in, and receive only your name, email address and profile picture. See our privacy policy and terms of service.

Questions

Where does the data come from?

Official US state, county and city licensing records, read every day. Each license counts as new on its original issue date, or where a record publishes none, on the day it first appears. Renewals never count.

Which states do you cover?

20 states and DC so far, and how deep each goes varies: some states publish every licensed contractor, others only some trades, and a few are one city. Each state's page says exactly what it holds before you pay.

How much contact detail do I get?

Whatever the licensing record publishes: 64% of licenses new in the last 30 days carry a phone number. Some states publish no phone or email at all, and we never invent or guess one.

What is the difference between the feed and a CSV pack?

The feed is a subscription: every new license in a state, each day, with alerts and export, from $29 a month. A pack is a one-time CSV of every license on record in a county, city, trade or state, from $19.
